tracie potts from "today in the bay" is live right now on capitol hill with the latest trouble surrounding all of these planes. trac tracie, good morning. >> europe and india announcing they'll ground the planes so majority of the 787 now on the ground worldwide while authorities try to figure out what's going on with this battery that leaked and caused an emergency landing in japan yesterday. within a week earlier just over a week before that another problem with that same plane that caused a fire. no serious injuries so far but lots of questions about whether it is this battery, a leaking battery, wiring system in the plane or what is causing these incidents to happen. it's the lithium battery made by japanese manufacturer that's in question. manhattan, san jose just started direct flights to japan and now we understand those flights as a result of these actions have been grounded as well. those direct flights just started last friday. this is a big problem for boeing. they have orders for 800 of these planes. 50 delivered so far and they planned to double up and ramp up production this
